When the mushrooms whispered, I leaned in.
Hi, Iʼm Maria. Iʼm a licensed acupuncturist and chinese herbalist, Chicago Latina, and proud madre.
For 20 years Iʼve been prescribing functional mushrooms to my patients as a potent daily medicine: Reishi for boosting immunity, lionʼs mane for calming the nervous system, turkey tail for gut health & cancer prevention – and the list goes on. Struck by how their benefits compounded over time, I decided to incorporate them into something we enjoy daily – our quiet morning ritual.
I donʼt believe in coincidences; I believe that mushrooms want to heal, to teach, and to strengthen our bonds to each other and to the planet. A few journeys with the most magical kind of mushroom later and my mission to connect individuals to the healing power of functional mushrooms has become abundantly clear.
May the wisdom of the fungal kingdom find its way into our collective consciousness, one sip at a time.
With gratitude,
Maria Mulcahy, Founder & Licensed Acupuncturist, MSOM, L.Ac

Itʼs in our nature to nurture.
In the wild, mushrooms take the necessary steps to ensure existence on our planet thrives. They transport nutrients, warn other species of predators, and convert decay into new life. Nurturance, protection, growth. Thanks, Mother Nature.

As above, so below.
Functional mushrooms – the kind that have health benefits for humans beyond nutrition – behave similarly in our bodies as they do in nature. (Hello, Oneness!) Bioactive compounds help us adapt to stress, fight off infection, and thrive under the pressures of daily life. Recent research points to the benefits of functional mushrooms in helping us heal nearly every system in the human body.
